Here you will find a series of photos we took while we were making a stained glass panel, lamp or screen.

This is David working in the Brighon studio on one of two panels that went to the Castle of Brecon Hotel in Brecon, Wales.

He begins by cutting the larger pieces for the tail from two beautiful glasses made by Uroboros. Then he moves onto the small pieces for the 'eyes'. The eyes are made from glasses by Dynasty, a Chinese glass maker.

To ensure that the eyes are regular and fit, each piece of glass that goes to make them up is tested in a 'shape' first. Then they are 'foiled' around the edges and tested again before being soldered together. Once each eye is complete it is placed on the 'map' and the other pieces of glaass sized against them.

The whole Peacock is then soldered together on the first side, turned over (very gingerly) and soldered on the reverse. After a good clean, it is ready for delivery and eventual installation.
